Yesterday (Monday) when we were headed out to Children's my mom stopped to get her car insurance. The lady asked if I was the one doing the fundraising for the hospital and I said yes and my mom started telling her about the trip to Kenya. The lady told me that if my mom decided to let me go, to get her to give her a call and she would love to donate. I thought that was so nice of her and it made me smile. Then, as we were leaving, there was a young guy waiting that was like, "I couldn't help but overhear your conversation" and told us about how he raised money for building a school with Free The Children. He opened up his wallet and handed me $5. It was so nice of him! It was a nice surprise for me. Just a random act of kindness from a complete stranger that brightened my day. I will be sure to Pay It Forward ;)
The appointment went well. Talked about everything going on...not much new... Apparently I'm supposed to try to gain 6lbs... I also got this fancy little binder thing to take notes and record things about appointments and keep track of all my medical things. Oh and I might be starting statins now..my mom just has to talk one of the other doctors about that I think. Also, something that might be a genetic thing that relates a lot of my problems together into one thing kind of - a connective tissue disorder. Still waiting to see genetics though to fnd out anything for sure.
We didn't hear from my doctor on Monday but my mom spoke to him today and it is quite exciting!! Might finally have some answers! More sure than ever and makes lots of sense! More to come soon :)
